Ecopolis HTZ is One of the Initiators of Establishment of Kharkiv “Engineering – Automation – Machine building” Cluster

The briefing of Kharkiv EAM cluster was held in the same building of the City Council, where the first working meeting on the establishment of Ukrainian Silicon Valley on the territory of the Ecopolis HTZ business park had been held a week ago.

‘Our main goal is to make the development of machine-building industry a priority not only for Kharkiv but also for Ukraine in general. We want to create Ukrainian Silicon Valley on the territory of HTZ, which will include synthesis of education, science, and manufacturing to accomplish this task. It will give a powerful impulse for the development of Ukrainian mechanical engineering. Joint work with the EAM will create relationships between science and manufacturing as the cluster brings together the largest technical universities and machine-building enterprises of Kharkiv region,’ said Vitaliy Barannikov, Director of the Managing Company of Ecopolis HTZ business park. 

The creation of an industrial cluster in the region is carried out on the initiative of Ecopolis HTZ business park, Kharkiv Tractor Plant, as well as several organizations and institutions of the city. Under previously signed Memorandum on Cooperation between the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine and Kharkiv City Council.

‘Today we are in the heart of Kharkiv, in a small hall of the City Council, where the meeting on the Ukrainian Silicon Valley establishment was held last week. I hope that the EAM Kharkiv cluster will become an integral part of this project,’ said Vitaliy Zaitsev, EAM Cluster Coordinator.

The Charter was approved, and the management body of the EAM cluster was formed based on the results of today’s meeting. Its executive committee includes Vitaliy Barannikov, Director of Managing Company of Ecopolis HTZ business park.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Silicon Valley project announced by President Zelenskiy is being created on the territory of Kharkiv Tractor Plant, where it is planned to make a complete cycle for the implementation of high-tech initiatives: education, development, and its implementation into manufacturing
