Yaroslavskyi DCH will develop E-sports in Kharkiv based on Ecopolis HTZ

As part of the IT cluster of Ecopolis HTZ business park, an infrastructure will be created, among other things, for the development of e-sports in Kharkov. The mayor of the city, Hennadiy Kernes, spoke today on this subject with world computer games champion Daniil Teslenko. This was reported on the website of the Kharkov City Council.

During the meeting, they discussed the opening of a professional e-sports academy in the city, the association of e-sports organizations of various profiles, and the holding of an international world-class championship in Kharkiv.

The mayor of Kharkov wrote in his Telegram channel https://t.me/s/kernes59: «In Kharkov, we have many champions, wonderful guys who have won medals and have victories behind them. The city government has been supporting their endeavors for several years. I talked with Aleksandr Yaroslavskyi, who in his Ecopolis HTZ business park will create a powerful infrastructure for IT business and high technologies. He is ready to support eSports. So the smart city is the most modern sport! ” The mayor recalled that “in Asia they hold their regional games among e-sportsmen. It all goes to the point that this ultra-modern digital sport will soon become an Olympic kind». As you know, the Kharkov city government has been popularizing e-sports since 2016 - under the patronage of the mayor of Kharkov, they organize free broadcasts of major world championships and hold tournaments.

The DCH press service confirmed that Aleksandr Yaroslavskyi supports the idea of developing e-sports in Kharkov based on Ecopolis HTZ. "The business park includes a multidisciplinary IT cluster, plus there will be an educational cluster, so e-sports can quite logically become part of the created innovative ecosystem," the DCH said.

Business part Ecopolis HTZ – large-scale investment project of the DCH group of Aleksandr Yaroslavskyi. Until 2033, it is planned to invest more than $ 10 billion in creating an innovative diversified business ecosystem, which will create over 10 thousand high-tech jobs. The main location will be the landscaped free territory of the Kharkiv Tractor Plant - more than 500 thousand square meters of industrial premises. Kharkiv Tractor Plant itself will be an anchor resident of the industrial park - the industrial cluster of the business park. Among the Ecopolis HTZ's other areas of work is the IT cluster (including the business incubator and accelerator startups), the medical cluster (where the center of modern virology will be created to fight against coronavirus and other infections), as well as logistics, trade, agrotechnological, research (R&D) and educational clusters.
